DESCRIPTION: Discovered in 1764 the Dumbbell Nebula was the first planetary nebula ever found. M27 is roughly 1,360 light years from earth, it's diameter is about 8 arcminutes across which gives it a visual magnitude of 7.5, making this a easy target. The approximate age of this planetary nebula is between 9,800 and 14,600 years old, from the image the blue centeral star is visable.

SCOPE: 10" Meade LX200 f/10
CAMERA: Canon D450 DSLR
EXPOSURE: 9x120s lights, 9x120s darksNOTES: This was the first image I took from North Carolina. It was also the first image I took with digital media, so their is alot more experiance needed to get this right. The image did turn out okay considering the nebula's size (it's an easy target). An updated image will come once I get my setup correct and in turn.
