(M81 & M82) Bode's Galaxy and Cigar Galaxy

DESCRIPTION: First Discovered in 1774 by Johann Elert Bode, both galaxies are approximatly 12 million light years away, and are part of a group of 34 galaxies that are tidal bound to M81, which is known as the M81 group. Gravitational interactions between M81 and M82 is causing Hydrogen to be stripped away from M82 which is causing new star births in the polar regions of M82 (Notice the redish Hydrogen exiting from the poles).

NOTES: This turned out okay and was the first time I tried to incorperate Ha into an image. The Redish areas are the active parts of Ha in both galaxies.
