
DESCRIPTION: Discovered in 1779 by Antoine Darquier de Pellepoix, the distance of M57 is not really known, but the approximation seems to be somewhere between 1000 to 4100 light years from earth, with a visual magnitude of 8.8. This object is a summer object for North America and can be seen in binoculars. This is another popular object to photograph because of it high altitude in the sky.

EXPOSURE: 9x120s lights, 9x120s darksNOTES: This was some more digital imaging I have been experimenting with with my Canon DSLR. The resolution of this image is not to bad as the centeral region is very visable with not only the cental start, but a couple others starts behind the nebula.
